Embedding Lists on Other Websites
Perhaps the best reason to create a list on FictionPad is your ability to share it with others. Not only can you share a link to the list on Twitter and Facebook, but you can seamlessly embed the list into a blog or other website.
To embed a list into another site:
Go to the list you want to embed. If it’s a list you created, you’ll find it by choosing Your Lists from the menu you get when you click on your name in the upper-right corner of the site. If the list belongs to someone else, find them on FictionPad and choose Lists from the menu on the left side of the page.
Press the Share button.
Choose Embed from the menu that appears.
On the Embed List window, use the Height box to optionally adjust how tall the list will be on the other site. If the list’s items are taller than the height you specify, the list will automatically become scrollable.
Copy the entire embed code from the top of that window and paste it into the other site.
Why don’t I need to set the lists width?
The embed code and the lists themselves gracefully adjust themselves to match the width of “container” you put them in. This means you can put the same list in the main, wide, content area of your site or in the narrow sidebar section and the width will automatically grow to fill the space alloted.
Note: The minimum list width is 320 pixels.
